Garage Door Spring Replacement in Carmel
Broken torsion spring? Published prices, your call answered at any hour, and your total approved before any work starts. Same-day, high-cycle springs already on the truck.
Most doors take two springs. Both replaced: $610 standard, $960 high-cycle. The second spring is 25% off, because the labor and the trip are already paid for. Every price includes labor, hardware and the trip charge, nights and weekends the same as weekdays. No trip fee, no after-hours surcharge, no separate parts bill.
Calls are answered day or night, never voicemail, and a technician follows up. Your technician is the one who quotes the job, and nothing gets touched until you approve the number.

Serving Carmel since 2016How much does garage door spring replacement cost in Carmel?
Standard springs
$349 per spring, fully installed 3-year warrantyRated for about 10,000 cycles, roughly seven years of daily use. This is the same grade of spring most Carmel builders installed originally.
High-cycle springs
$549 per spring, fully installed 5-year warrantyRated for roughly 20,000 cycles, about double the life of the spring that just failed on you. $200 more per spring, once, and most homeowners don’t make this call again for well over a decade.
What the price includes
- Each spring sized and calibrated to your door’s actual weight
- Labor, mounting hardware and winding
- The trip charge, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Door balance and cycle test before we leave
- Written warranty, carried by us, not a third-party administrator
What could change the price
- Oversized, extra-heavy or commercial doors
- Damaged cables or drums, if they need replacing too
- A door that isn’t on a torsion system
If any of that applies to your door, you hear the revised number and approve it before a wrench comes out, never as a line added to the invoice afterwards.
Spring broken right now?

☎ Call (317) 218-4758The Quoted Price Rule
Every garage door company in Indiana says it prices honestly. Here is ours, written down, with a consequence attached.
Five things we commit to
- Our prices are published. They’re on this page, so you know what a standard Carmel job costs before you dial.
- Your technician quotes the job, and you approve the total before any work starts. Not whoever answered the phone, not a salesperson, and not a number that appears on the invoice afterwards. Some doors can be quoted sight unseen; some have to be looked at first. Either way it is settled and agreed before a wrench comes out.
- That number is the whole job. Springs, labor, hardware and the trip, nights and weekends included.
- We quote you the lowest price that fixes it properly. If a longer-lasting option exists we’ll say so once and leave the choice to you. We don’t lead with the expensive one and wait to see if you notice.
- No trip fee, no diagnostic fee, no call-out charge. You are not paying us to show up and tell you a number. You pay for the repair, once you have agreed to it.
The price you were quoted is probably for half the job
Garage door springs in this market are advertised per spring. Almost every price you’ll see today, ours included, is the cost of replacing one.
But most doors have two springs. They were installed the same day, they’ve run the same number of cycles, and when one breaks the other is usually months behind it. So nearly every company in this trade, us included, will recommend replacing both, which means the number you were quoted covers half of what you’re likely to buy.
There’s nothing dishonest about per-spring pricing. The problem is finding out which job you’re paying for after the work has already begun. So both numbers are published right here, per spring and for the pair. Your technician confirms the total for your door, and it is agreed before any work starts.
And we take 25% off the second spring. The labor and the trip are already covered by the first one, so charging full price twice would be charging you twice for the same visit. It’s also the simplest proof we can offer that recommending both springs isn’t how we make more money. It earns us less per spring, not more.
Two questions worth asking everyone on your list
“What does the whole job cost, for both springs and not one?”
“Will I have a firm total to approve before any work begins, and is there a trip or diagnostic fee to get it?”
Those two answers tell you most of what you need to know about a garage door company. Ours: the prices are printed above, the total is agreed before a wrench comes out, and there is no trip or diagnostic fee for getting that number.
Who stands behind the work

Michael Kaplan, owner. I served in the U.S. Navy, and I started Garage Door Pro in 2016.
People are wary of this trade, and I understand why. The advertised price is often not the real price. A tech comes for one job and finds three more. The invoice does not match the phone call.
We do it the other way around. Our prices are printed on this page. Your technician gives you the total, and nothing starts until you say yes. We do the job we quoted, for the number we quoted. And this is my company, so if something goes wrong afterwards you are dealing with me, not a claims department.
Military and senior discount: 10% off. Just mention it when you call.
Spring just broke? Don’t force the door
Leave it closed and call
Without spring tension, the door’s full weight rests on the opener and cables, and both can fail suddenly. A torsion spring holds hundreds of pounds of stored energy. This is not a DIY repair, and forcing the door can turn a $349 job into a new opener.
Call (317) 218-4758. We’re up, and we have springs on the truck.
Signs your springs are done
- The door won’t open, or lifts a few inches and stops
- You heard a bang from the garage, often mistaken for a gunshot
- There’s a visible gap in the spring coil
- The door feels enormously heavy by hand
- One side hangs lower than the other
- The opener runs but the door doesn’t move

Standard torsion springs last about 10,000 cycles, roughly seven years of daily use. If yours are seven or more years old, or one has already broken, the other is close behind.
What happens after you call
Your call gets answered
Any hour, and never voicemail. Tell us your door size and whether one or both springs broke, and we’ll get a truck moving.
Your technician quotes it
The prices on this page are what a standard Carmel job costs, so the number shouldn’t surprise you. Nothing starts until you approve it, and there is no trip or diagnostic fee to get it.
We arrive with the springs
Torsion springs are color coded by wire gauge. We stock the five gauges that cover most Carmel doors, so it’s one visit, not a visit plus a parts order. Tell us the color painted on your spring when you call and we will know the gauge before we arrive.
Balanced, tested, warrantied
We cycle-test the door, check the balance, and leave you a written warranty we carry ourselves.

Becca J.Fishers, IN“Day after Christmas our garage door spring broke, and Ido from Garage Door Pro was ON it. Was at my house within an hour. Door fixed in 30 min. Even offered to take the broken spring and recycle the metal.”
Jill K.Carmel, INCommon questions
How much does garage door spring replacement cost in Carmel?
$349 per standard spring or $549 per high-cycle spring, fully installed. That covers the spring, labor, hardware and the trip charge, including nights and weekends. Most doors take two springs, and the second is 25% off, so the typical total is $610 for both standard springs, or $960 for both high-cycle. You approve that total before any work starts.
Spring prices in this market are quoted per spring, so when you compare, make sure you’re comparing the total for the whole job rather than the price of one part of it.
Should I replace one spring or both?
Both, on a two-spring door. They were installed the same day and have run the same number of cycles, so when one goes the other is usually within months of going. Replacing the pair costs less than paying for a second service call.
We take 25% off the second spring, which makes it $610 for both standard or $960 for both high-cycle, because the labor and trip are already covered by the first. And we tell you that on the first phone call, quoted that way from the start. We don’t raise it once a technician is standing in your garage.
Are you really available 24/7?
Yes. Calls are answered around the clock, you will not get voicemail, and same-day service is standard. What we won’t claim is that a technician answers the phone. Our techs are driving, and taking service calls at the wheel is dangerous, so the call is answered for us and your details go straight to dispatch. Your technician is the one who quotes the job, and nothing starts until you approve that number. There’s no after-hours surcharge either, so the price is the same at 2am as at 2pm.
Is your warranty through a third party?
No. The warranty is carried by Garage Door Pro LLC directly. If a spring we installed fails inside the term, you call the same number and we replace it. No claim form, no administrator.
